The brief

The business came to us needing a website that matched the standards it's known for in person — clear, considerate and easy to use at a time when visitors are often dealing with a great deal.

Funeral arranging is frequently undertaken during difficult and emotional times, so it was important that visitors could find the information they needed in a clear, straightforward and supportive environment, without unnecessary friction or confusion.

Alongside the website, R Millard & Son wanted a brand refresh — something that stayed professional and recognisable across both the new website and the business's printed materials.

What we did

We built a new website covering traditional funerals, cremation services, direct cremation options, memorial services and practical guidance for families, structured so that the right information is always easy to find.

Alongside the build, we refreshed the company's branding, carrying it through consistently across the website and the business's existing printed materials, helping strengthen R Millard & Son's presence throughout Burnham-on-Sea, Highbridge and the wider Somerset area.

We also built the site with local search in mind, targeting searches relating to funeral directors in Burnham-on-Sea, funeral directors in Highbridge, cremation services in Somerset and direct cremation providers across the local area.

The result

R Millard & Son now has a website that reflects the care and professionalism the business has built its reputation on, making it easier for local families to find the support and information they need, whenever they need it.

"The whole experience was incredibly personal and straightforward. As a funeral director, it's so important that the messaging is handled with care and sensitivity, and they absolutely understood that from the start." Carolyn Higgs, R Millard & Son
