West Country Websites (a trading name of UX3 Ltd) is committed to being straightforward about the data we collect and why. This page explains what happens when you visit this website or get in touch with us.
Who we are
West Country Websites, a trading name of UX3 Ltd. You can reach us via the contact page, or at our offices in Braunton, Devon and Taunton, Somerset — details on the Contact page.
What we collect and why
Contact form. When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided) and the message you send. This is used solely to respond to your enquiry — we don't add you to any mailing list or share it with third parties beyond what's needed to send the email itself.
Analytics. With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site — which pages get read, roughly how many people visit, and where they come from. This helps us improve the site. It doesn't identify you personally.
Cookies used on this site
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Here's what this site sets, and why:
Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*)
Set only if you accept analytics cookies via the banner. Used to distinguish visitors and measure site usage. Set by Google; retained for up to 2 years. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Cloudflare Turnstile
Set when you use the contact form, to verify you're not a bot. Essential for the form to work securely — no consent toggle needed, as it's strictly necessary. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
We don't use advertising or retargeting cookies, and we don't sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your choices
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or reject analytics cookies. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's cookies for this site, which will bring the banner back on your next visit.
Third-party services
This site is built and hosted using standard web infrastructure, and uses Google Analytics (if you consent) and Cloudflare Turnstile (for spam protection on the contact form). Neither is used to build advertising profiles about you.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, request a correction or deletion, and object to how it's used. If you'd like to exercise any of these rights, or have questions about this policy, get in touch via the contact page.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as the site or our practices change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
